Jeffrey Dvorkin

Jeffrey Dvorkin is a senior fellow at Massey College. He was a lecturer and director of the journalism program at University of Toronto Scarborough Campus from 2010 until July, 2020. Prior to teaching, he was in charge of two international news organizations, CBC Radio in Toronto and NPR News in Washington, DC. From 2000-2006 he was NPR’s first independent news ombudsman and the only broadcast ombuds in the United States. Dvorkin has lectured and taught journalism abroad as well, in Turkey, Niger, Guinea, Chile, Portugal, Germany, and Poland, to name a few. He is a frequent media commentator on ethical issues and has recently authored an undergraduate textbook, “Trusting the News in a Digital Age” as a guide for students and citizens alike published in the UK and the US by Wiley.
